Next step, finding the perfect recipe!
Well, I've discovered that too much can lead to slightly too thick waffles and too little can lead to gaps in the outside so it took a little trial and error together the right label size - but boy was it worth it! The end result? Perfect sized, perfectly toasted delicious waffles that got the thumbs up from all.
If you would like to try your own, here is a good base recipe, although you may wish to add slightly more milk if you find the mixture too runny!
Dry Ingredients
Wet Ingredients
Method
Preheat waffle maker to desired temperature.
Step 1.
Mix all the dry ingredients in a large bowl combining the flour, salt, baking powder and sugar together.
Step 2
In a separate bowl, beat the eggs until smooth. Carefully pour in the milk, melted butter and vanilla essence. Blend until all combined and then pour into the flour mixture.
Step 3
Beat the combined mix until blended into a smooth batter. If the mix is too thick, add slightly more milk. Ladle the batter into a preheated waffle maker.
Cook the waffles until golden and crisp. Serve while warm with your favourite toppings from fresh berries and yoghurt to maple syrup and banana .. or anything you like!
